Bulging bookshelves devoted to the craft of writing will not guarantee a writer success. Indeed, the task of assimilating the advice would be so daunting that few would emerge from the experience with either the time or the impertinence to better their tutors. Remember, writers with an original voice are much sought after, and while other people's rule books may help, the intelligence you apply to your own work need only be guided by such advice rather than slavishly adopted.
