Once
upon a time . . .wouldn't a deadline help?
Procrastination
has a greater affinity for writers than almost any other calling.
Here its siren voices are always welcome – any trivial housekeeping
is preferred to the task of putting words in order. Rather like
speculative oil stocks, many an investment has been ruined by drilling
the well; so feel authors about their forthcoming bestseller. Maybe
it would be a pity to spoil a brilliant concept by letting it see
the light of day.
To
be a writer, you must first write. And, being a lonely calling,
you will need to steel yourself to both begin writing and then stick
with it to the end. Within publishing, the deadline is the both
the carrot and the stick. Outside publishing, where aspiring writers
live until they crash through the flaps of the tent, the deadline
is down to you.
My
advice. If you are serious about writing, do something about it.
Here at WriteAway we can only help those who help themselves; and
we do, before, during and after your project is completed.
